Where the gaps are
- Sundays and bank holidays: no regular bus service at all, except the seasonal Moorsbus (April–September, Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays only).
- Evenings: daytime-only services on most routes — don't plan on catching a bus back from an evening out.
- Many surrounding villages: don't have a daily service even on weekdays, and the Hillside Villages (Borrowby, Boltby, Felixkirk, and others) have none at all beyond the school run — see Villages.
💡 Local Tip
If your journey falls into any of the gaps above — a Sunday, an evening, or a village without a daily service — plan on a taxi from the start rather than checking the timetable and hoping. It saves standing at a stop that simply won't see a bus that day.
