Blue Badge parking

• If you can display a Blue Badge and park in a marked disabled bay, no parking ticket is needed — you can stay as long as you like.
• If all disabled bays are full, you can park in an ordinary bay, but you still need a ticket — displaying your Blue Badge gets you an extra hour free (in the Market Place, for example, that's 2 hours free instead of 1, or 3 hours for £1.50 instead of 2).

Motorhomes & overnight parking

• Motorhomes aren't allowed in the coach parking area.
• At Millgate and Marage, if you park with the rear of the vehicle over the grass rather than a marked bay, you only pay for one space — otherwise, overlapping a white line means paying for two.
• No overnight sleeping in car parks — that's what the caravan parks are for, see Campsites.
• Overnight parking (not sleeping) can be bought as a £1.50 ticket covering 6pm to 10am the next day, except ahead of Fridays and Sundays.

Park once, taxi the rest

If you're planning an evening that includes a pub, a restaurant, or the races, it's often simpler to park once during the day and use a taxi for the return journey rather than trying to find parking again later, or driving after a drink.
